Linkstuff, and the Lakers are killin’ it right now!

February 24, 2008 1 comment

The ‘Chip is definitely within reach these days… If you have watched the Lakers play, and seen the other contenders out there, the Purple and Gold have a really good shot at winning it all this year! They are currently in first place, they have a seven game winning streak going, and their starting center is about three weeks away from coming back, and they have a relatively easy schedule to finish out the year. This is looking better and better.

Great story in SI about dunkers and their first dunks. Lebron, ‘Nique, Baron Davis, and Henry Bekkering. If you don’t know who HB is, you are slippin’, PeeP:

This is really good news for all of us The Wire fans, basically David Simon the creator of the Wire has been working on a show about New Orleans, he actually started before Katrina and has been working on the pilot for a few years. This show will be awesome, I can already see it, plus in this interview with the Times, Dominic West says they are talking about a Wire movie. I’m excited.

For all of us BMW fans, here is something special: At the Geneva ’08 Car show, they unveiled full unrestricted in car Internet access, I like it.

This could be bad for Vegas and all of us who like to shoot out there for the weekend. IRS agents raided Pure Management Groups offices, Uh Oh!

Tiger Woods crushes another opponent in match play. This could be a really bad year for the players on tour. Financially they are all going to be fine, but they wont be winning too many tournaments that he is playing in. 8 and , jeez, that is over 36 holes but he was 4-up after the first 18.

Raul officially takes over for Fidel in Cuba.

Top Gear

If you don’t recognize these guys, hopefully you soon will at least get a taste of their show on network TV. According to one of the trades a pilot will be shot in Los Angeles for the American version of Top Gear. I guess this guy Craig Plestis, who oversees alternative programming for NBC, is a fan and he says:

“It all comes down to subject matter — it’s a cool show about cars,” he tells The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s very compelling for us because we have a great platform and space on the network to have such a show.”

Wow, if it could only be so easy. Shouldn’t it always be like this for TV. Hopefully we get some guys who really know cars, and can be really entertaining like these British guys, because they alongside with the cars they showcased of course, were the lifeblood of the show. Apparently they were considered to host the American version too, but the producers decided to go with some home grown folks. I am okay with that, but lets just hope that we don’t get stuck with another Ty Pennington.

New Knight Rider Preview

January 10, 2008 Leave a comment

for all of us fan from back in the day, this is another show to look forward to. I never really got the whole remake game, until they started doing shit that I was into when I was a shorty. They say its not a remake but a continuation, which makes a lot of sense actually, so we will have to tune in to see if they can live up its predecessor. If its a continuation, then that leads us to believe that there will be room for the Hoff back in our lives, and that alone should get you fired up. I guess this is going to be like a mini series, potetial TV show thing set for 2008. Read up on it here. Below are pics of the old K.I.T.T and the old Hoff, with the new K.I.T.T. and the new Hoff

Which do you like? the Knight Industries Two Thousand, or the Knight Industries Three Thousand?

The two hour “backdoor pilot” will be shown on NBC on February 17th, 2008

BMW 1 series

The 1 series is here baby. This ride is ill, and I can’t wait to see the cuties driving down PCH in this one … The 128i comes with the 230-horsepower, 200 pound-foot 3.0-liter with Valvetronic, and the 135i gets the twin-turbo 3.0 of course, good for 300 horses, 300 pound-feet from 1400 rpm, and BMW says, a 5.3-second 0-62 mph time and electronically limited 155 mph top speed. And the Schnitzered version has 360hp. AYFKM!?! that is ridiculous, I’ve got to run down to my local dealer to see what this thing moves like. Check out the press release here about the Schnizzled bimmer below!
