Today is a monumental day for America and the world. As i think about it, its getting a little dusty in the casa. DVR Tivo whatever, record this and make it save until i delete. I cant wait!

Clinton(Hillary) Just got closer

Well today, John Edwards is going to fallback and tap out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. Mr. Edwards will make his announcement at a speech in New Orleans this afternoon. A spokesman said Edwards would not endorse another candidate today, but that he might in the future. It is kind of unclear who will benefit the most from this yet, but I actually think this helps the Clinton’s. The timing is good for Hillary because interestingly enough she has performed better in the debates, but it can be good for Obama because most of Mr. Edwards votes came int eh form of white males, a group that Obama reaches and who tend to vote for him in other areas than the south. Either way this Thursdays debate is going to be monumental to their causes before super Tuesday. If you ask me, they need to be on the same ticket anyway, Hillary for president, Obama as VP. She and Billy can run this thing for a few years while the heir apparent Obama is getting on the job training, whats wrong with that plan?

Obama is getting closer

Obama is getting a whole lot closer to becoming the Democratic presidential nominee. Yesterday he got possibly the biggest endorsement a Democrat can get. First it was JFK’s daughter Caroline and now ole Teddy. Senator Kennedy says that Obama is the heir to the throne basically by calling him the future of the party. WOW! that’s big.

Oprah’s a Beast, but in the good way…

Okay so Oprah is a long way from roughing up Harpo and smokin’ that crack. It has been announced that she and the Discovery Channel will be teaming up to create her own cable channel that will be called OWN, taken from the Oprah Winfrey Network. Yeop, you read that correctly she now has her own channel. It seems like the next logical step though; she has dominated the talk show game ever since she made it rain on Phil Donohue. Okay, maybe he was just tired of doing the show, but whatever, she has been on top for about a decade. She is the first African American female billionaire, with a magazine named after her. She has spawned the careers and single handedly made best selling authors, celebrity chef’s, and talk show host out of nobodies, and she started an academy for girls in Africa funded with $40m out of her own pocket. Let’s see if she can help Obama become the first black president. If she can, um…she is a beast for reals

Magic does the damn thing. Lets applaud him for being one of the few modern day athletes who takes a stand on national and world causes. He’s got more dough than all of these cats, with a net worth that has got to be knocking on the door of a $billi, but he is using it and his influence to make a difference.
